Amosun Urges TASUED Students to Steer Clear Desperate Politics

Governor Ibikunle Amosun. Photo: Punch NewspaperThe Executive Governor of Ogun state, Ibikunle Amosun has advised the graduating students of Tai Solarin University of Education not to allow themselves to be used as thugs during the forthcoming general elections billed for 2019.
According to Punch News, Senator Amosun urged the over two thousand graduating students at the 10th convocation of the institute to steer clear of ‘desperate politics.’
The Governor who was represented by Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Taiwo Adeoluwa said, “The preparations for the forthcoming elections have begun; do not be tools in the hands of these desperate politicians.
“You are to get yourself engaged in meaningful and positive participation during the elections. An idle hand is the devil’s workshop, so engage yourself in positive activities during the election,” he said.
The governor concluded by urging the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to sheath its sword concerning the ongoing nationwide strike declared by the union.
