Lufthansa Impact Week: UNILAG Students Exhibit Outstanding Ideas

Photo: Trip AdvisorThe Lufthansa Impact Week which was facilitated by the University of Lagos (UNILAG) Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Centre (ESDC) under the umbrella of Lufthansa Airline has been rounded off as students exhibited innovative ideas.
According to Independence News, the organizers of the event which lasted for a week said the ideas brought to bear in different areas of human endeavors that cut across Education, Energy, Finance, Health & Environment, ICT, Transportation, Tourism and Urban Agriculture.
According to the organizers, Impact Week is a non-profit program which unites people from a variety of countries to develop sustainable business models using Design Thinking.
In its “Train and Trainer” sessions, the program affords the beneficiaries the opportunity of being mentored by Design Thinking coaches while the main “Impact Week” helped to develop new business ideas.
The program was aimed at generating creative ideas as well as empowering young scholars to produce sustainable models using ‘Design thinking’ to help improve lives.
The Lufthansa Impact Week which kicked off on the 19th of November 2018, at the University of Lagos’ Jelili Omotola Halls was facilitated by twenty-six experts drawn from across the world, and who were present to train students on Design Thinking and how the knowledge can be applied to proffer solutions to the numerous socioeconomic challenges of the country.
The Vice Chancellor of UNILAG, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, applauded Lufthansa for supporting the impact week which is designed to train the students to believe in themselves, create ideas and understand the problems in their environments as well as helping them to be able to provide solutions to them.
