It’s been a dreadful night for Arsenal with regards to injuries during their Europa League clash with Sporting Lisbon.
In the first-half, Danny Welbeck was forced off with a horrifying injury to his leg.
The striker received treatment for several minutes on the pitch with Gunners and Sporting players offering words of comfort for the distressed Welbeck.
And Unai Emery’s men were struck by another injury blow when Stephan Lichtsteiner pulled up with a hamstring injury on 70 minutes.
The injury to the Switzerland international is not nearly as serious as Welbeck’s is expected to be, however.
Lichtsteiner came off the pitch swiftly after pulling up, being replaced by youngster Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
